The Retreat at Angel Fire Location & Directions

Location

The village of Angel Fire is located in the majestic Moreno Valley in Colfax County, New Mexico, 23 miles east of Taos and 80 miles west of Raton via US Highway 64. Angel Fire is 60 miles northeast of Sante Fe, and it is 152 miles northeast of Albuquerque, the nearest major airport.

The Retreat at Angel Fire is located approximately three miles south of the village of Angel Fire on Highway 434. As you head south out of Angel Fire, The Retreat at Angel Fire will be on your right hand (west) side approximately one quarter of a mile past Monte Verde lake.

Road Conditions and Winter Driving

When visiting, especially during the winter season, please be aware that road conditions may prevent passage on certain mountain routes. Please contact the New Mexico Department of Transportation for current road conditions.

 

Special Considerations for RVs and Trailers

Due to narrow and winding roads, RVs and trailers may not be able to access The Retreat at Angel Fire via Mora on Hwy 434 (i.e. coming from the south) or via Ocate on Hwy 120. If you are towing a trailer or travelling by RV, please choose an alternate route either via Sante Fe or Cimmaron. Please contact us regarding parking accommodations for your trailer or RV before visiting.
